Hello, Andrea! I'm so embarrassed that it has taken me THIS long to get in touch with you. Since we last communicated, I had to put our other dog down - Charlie. I don't know if you remember me talking about him. He could be aggressive with children. Avery is our first son, and as soon as he started walking, Charlie bit him viciously through a gate. Charlie was our rescue dog - who had many, many mental and health problems. It was awful, and we had to make that horrible decision. Luckily, Shelby was only a few months-old and didn't even notice he was gone. Avery and Shelby are BEST FRIENDS, and they have played together since day one - as I'm sure you can see in the pictures! I have never seen a pair like them. They love each other so much. When Avery gets up from his nap, Shelby darts in his room and they cuddle together for a good 20 minutes. I wanted to e-mail and assure you that Shelby is having a wonderful life. She loves playing in the snow, playing with Avery - and giving us love, love, love! She is the most special dog, and we are so grateful to have her. I often joke that I should have named her "Nana," after the dog who cares for the kids from Peter Pan. She follows Avery everywhere. We take her down to VA on occassion, my parents live on a really nice lake there. She gets to run and jump in the water, go on the boat... etc. She loves that! I also found out this past summer that I'm expecting a baby boy in April. Things have been busy!
I hope you are all doing well. Thank you again for providing us with a dog that is healthy, safe with kids, and a true member of our family. She receives the best food, care, and loving home - so YOU can rest assured that one of your little babies is taken care of!
