Hi Andrea! Figured I'd give you another update on Ike.
He had his second vet visit and second round of vaccinations on Saturday. He did great. Didn't even flinch when they gave him the sub-q shots.
His hair is growing like crazy. I didn't even realize it until I looked back at the old pictures of him. I love the beautiful wavy texture. I've gotten countless compliments on how handsome and sweet he is.
We started puppy kindergarten at Ohio State last week, and Ike had a blast. He's the youngest in the class, but more than holds his own against the older pups. There's a Pembroke corgi that he's already best buds with.
I've attached a few pictures to add to your collection.
Thanks again!
Adam
Hi Andrea! Figured I'd provide you with an update on how Ike is settling in.
Everything is going about as well as I had hoped. A few accidents, and plenty of yelping in the crate, but overall I think he's doing quite well. Ike and the cat are still sizing each other up, but both are primarily curious and not at all aggressive (aside from a small amount of hissing).
Ike wasn't eating an awful lot for the first day, but no doubt it had a lot to do with the separation anxiety. Thankfully, his eating has picked up considerably. Mixing in a small amount of hot water has definitely helped.
Ike had his vet appointment this morning, and everything looks good so far. The vet and her assistant thought he was the cutest thing ever. (No doubt they tell every pet owner how cute their pet is, but I think they were genuinely in love with him.) He wasn't the first doodle they'd seen, but he was the first red doodle, so needless to say, they thought he was a stunning little pup.
They were also extremely impressed with the notebook you put together - so much so that they asked for a copy of your business card, which I was happy to provide to them. No doubt they wish all breeders were as meticulous as you!
I'll continue be in touch with more pictures. Thanks again for everything!
