Andrea,
We have a digital camera, but have yet to figure out how to send
the photos via e-mail.  We're just technically challenged!  But as
soon as we figure it out, we'll send you some.  FYI...Maggie has
gray legs and is pretty gray around her face.  She has some gray
throughout the rest of her body.   I'm assuming that's what a
blue poodle is like.  Anyway she looks 'dusty'...especially on her
legs.  She looks like a small wolfhound with floppy
ears...although the way she's growing she may end up as big as
one.  The gray is really noticeable when compared to Jenny  who
is pretty black but has some gray throughout and some brown
around her face.  Jenny looks like a big black curly Cuddly
Dudley...she's really cute with her 'poochy' face!  She seems tiny
next to Maggie, but she's on her way to  60-70 lbs.  We had to
get bigger cages for both already...They couldn't get in our old
Golden Retrievers' cages without ducking.  We've had people ask
if  they're Portuguese water dogs.  There's one around the street
and they do look  like her.  They both were spayed this week and
are doing well...but it's tough  to keep them quiet.  Boy, it's fun
to watch them stalk, chase, and wrestle with each other.  We
have a plastic play set with 2 slides that the kids are outgrowing.
We were going to get rid of it but the dogs love jumping on  it,
going down the slides and hiding in it...It's hysterical!!!   I'm
also enjoying 'styling' their hair.  I especially like the 'Ziggy
Stardust'  look  with the puffy head and the 'shag style' floppy
ears...it's so much fun.  And  they're so good about letting me
groom them... cut nails, brush their  teeth, clean their ears,
anything...they're just really GOOD dogs!  People around  us
who really know dogs can't believe how good and calm they
are...they don't act  like puppies... and after taking them to a
puppy class, I certainly agree...all the other puppies were
whacked out and bouncing off the walls.  They either tire
themselves out, or else they have good breeding, or else they have
good owners...probably all 3!
Wish us luck with the camera...we'll try to get you some pictures!

Hi, Andrea

Wanted to catch up and let you know that James is doing great
and we love him so much. He's the perfect blend of sweet,
funny, smart and occasionally naughty! There's hardly a time
when we're out for a walk that someone doesn't stop and ask
"what IS that?!!". I think you received another buyer from one
of my meetings "on the street" after I recommended you.

James is a pure delight and I can't wait until we're ready for
another Doodle. For now, in our NY apartment, James is
plenty!  We're looking forward to celebrating his 1 year birthday
on May 21. He weighs about 60 lbs now.

I have a question: Do you think that I should have him
trimmed for the summer months? His coat is very long and
thick. We love it that way but will it be too hot for him?  He's
already panting quite a lot and it's only April. If a cut is a good
idea, is there a type of trim that I should request?

I appreciate your advice and James Dean sends his love.

Hey Andrea!
Great to hear from you. Mulligan is
great. She is about weighs about 57 lbs I
think. It is hard to weigh her. She is
VERY healthy and seems to have even
made our other dogs health improve.
We used to go to the vet all the time
with our golden and now we haven't
been except for routine shot visits. It's
WONDERFUL!   Mulligan is taller
than our golden but not as thick. Our
golden, Kaylee, weighs about 65 lbs.
They are doing great together.

Yes, you did see them on the news
during the snow storm. I was bored that
day b/c I was stuck at home and I took a
digital picture of them and sent it in. I
actually missed when they broad casted
the picture but I got a few phone
calls...it was fun.  I have attached the
picture you saw...it turned out dark but I
thought it was cute.  This was taken in
our back yard  just as the snow started
to fall.

Glad to hear you have found a new
place to call home. Good luck with the
move I know how tough it can be.

Take care. Thanks for writing back.

Hi Andrea,

I can't tell you how much we adore the big wavy boy, but you know
him better than anyone so I'm sure you're not surprised. Colleen is very
happy It's very late (about 1:30am CO. time) and I'm heading home in
a couple of minutes. I was baking tonight, so I'll be taking young
Cooper out for a late night bathroom trip in afew minutes.
Thanks again for everything. We'll keep in touch.
PS:  Rita is very excited that we also have a Doodle in the family.
Hopefully Cooper and James Dean will get to know each other some
day soon. Yesterday was Rita's Birthday so we've spoken a few times
lately.

Hi Andrea & Jeff,
Wanted to check in to let you know how things are going.  We got stuck
in traffic on I-71 after leaving your house, so the trip took about 1 hr.
20min.  Abby cried for the first 3 or 4 minutes, then settled down, and
finally fell asleep for over an hour!  Abby is a doll, she wows everyone she
meets.  Yesterday I took her to meet Donna's mother who lives in a
retirement community -- could hardly get past the lobby, everyone wanted
to pet her and make over her.  She handled the attention pretty well, very
friendly, but calm, especially for only 11 weeks old.  House training goes
well, and she is sleeping well too.  Got back from her Vet visit a couple of
hours ago and she is one very healthy pup.  We will send some pics from
the last couple days, and will keep you updated from time to time over the
next year.  We are happy to recommend you to all who inquire. Hope
things are going O.K at your house.
Thanks so much for everything.

Andrea,
Hope things are going well with
you and Jeff.  We think about
him often and hope things are
getting better.  I've left P&G so I
don't see Julie these days (she
was my usual source of new
information). Lilly is doing
absolutely fantastic.  Besides
being the perfect family member,
she's grown into the perfect
size...about 60 pounds.  We've
talked several times about our
2nd dog idea and always come
back to the sameconclusion...that
we really enjoy being able to give
Lilly our full attention. Here's a
recent picture. Take care.  Give
my best to Jeff.
